Products that work better together

Like with people, some products have better chemistry with each other than others. To make your life easier, we have many products in our portfolio that you can combine for your whole experiment setup. Here we have a short list of what is most compatible with what and how our partners have found a use for them.

When it comes to research, one of the favorites is definitely FIREScript® Reverse Transcriptase. It works very well in combination with all of our PCR and qPCR mixes.

If you would like to know more about the application possibilities, you can read from our blog how FIREScript® RT cDNA synthesis KIT was combined with HOT FIREPol® EvaGreen® qPCR Supermix to solve problems relating to world hunger and obesity.  The same combination has also been used to study, for example, depression and toxicity of nanoplastics

To give you some other examples, researchers have used FIREScript® RT cDNA synthesis KIT together with HOT FIREPol® EvaGreen® qPCR Mix Plus (ROX) to study a new potential renewable energy source and with FIREPol® Master Mix to study malaria. Truly the combinations and research possibilities are almost endless with FIREScript®.

Now speaking of HOT FIREPol® DNA Polymerase, it has been used many times in the same research as HOT TERMIPol® DNA Polymerase, e.g. to predict high fecal propionate-to-butyrate ratios and to study inflammatory bowel disease. Combination with TERMIPol® DNA Polymerase allowed learning about genome-wide DNA methylation profiles.

Recently HOT FIREPol® was used with our dNTP mix to identify extremely GC-rich micro RNAs in human plasma and to study hypertension.

It’s common to combine our HOT FIREPol® DNA Polymerase, dNTP mix and MgCl2, which was done, for example, when researching immunosenescent CD8+ TEMRA cells in human blood.

SOLIScript® Reverse Transcriptase, when combined with our HOT FIREPol® DNA Polymerase and RiboGrip® RNase inhibitor, is a great match for sensitive detection of viral RNA. In particular, SOLIScript® 1-step Multiplex Probe Kit and SOLIScript® 1-step CoV Kit were compared with 5 other commercial one-step RT-qPCR reagent kits to present a resource-efficient in-house protocol for the PCR detection of SARS-CoV-2.

Our SolisFAST® reagents also happen to work really well with MicroGEM’s extraction technologies. You can read about the successful research on plant samples and prenatal diagnostics in our blog.

Happy experimenting!
